Why So Shocked?
So I'm planning a surprise birthday party for hubby, who turns 30 in a few weeks.
Today I called the go-kart place to confirm the reservations.
They asked what the average age of the "children" would be for the party.
And then she seemed taken aback when I answered very bluntly, "30."
For a second, I thought about explaining my situation, but then I thought better of it.
After all, you gotta give her something to tell her friends...

HEY. I went go-karting on my last birthday. Only the REALLY cool kids can do that.
Actually this came up recently with my friends--that all the things we'd labelled as being somewhat loser-ish before have become fun again! I offer berry/apple picking, as an example...
Its like that time Adriane was in town and we went to Sports Town or whatever and bought bite plates for the sole purpose of being sexy beasts and not grinding our teeth when we sleep.
And the checker said---oh are you guys boxing?
and we just laughed and said no and walked out.
But honestly who wants me to launch into--Im moving, Im stressed, Ive been grinding my teeth which is causing headache/jaw pain so I decided to buy my own moldable bite plate.
