Thank goodness Toyota built a car that will not physically let me lock the doors while the keys are still in the ignition, though, believe me, I've tried on several occasions...

Nothing happened - I'm just a scatterbrain that often leaves her keys in the ignition!!!
I've only done that once...my ex did it quite frequently.
i do that a lot! but i have to call some1 to get them out.
i have not dont it in a while.

The alarm on my Honda used to have an option that if I turned the car on and all the doors were closed it would automatically lock. Yeah, that option didn't last long on that car. I'm just glad my dad is a locksmith. If I had to pay for all the times I have locked my keys out of my car and he had to come and make me a key I would owe him thousands.
I still carry an extra door key for my vehicle in my wallet...
